I am installing a 3/4 inch hardwood floor in my aunt's high rise condo. The wood is running perpendicular to the front door and I am not sure how to finish the edge where the ends and the door meet. The floor is a glue down job on top of cork underlay if that changes anything. I am pretty sure that I just lay a piece perpendicular to the boards in front the of the door and fit the ends into that, but I could be way off. This system doesn't seem to be the way to do it though. If I do lay the perpendicular end board, do I leave an expansion gap?... does it go the length of the wall with the door? I do not think that any transition strip will do the job since the threshold is so high.
Thanks for any help, This site is great.
