Hi friends,

We would love to put in tile floors throughout the main floor of our home (because of damage that my dogs nails do to the wood floors we currently own). But, I'm worried that this would have a negative impact on the value of our home (due to the region, etc).

What do you think? Should we put in tile?

Thank you for your suggestions.

No, I would spend a few dollars a month to get the dogs nails trimmed instead.

Installing ceramic is my main gig. The only time that I ever get the request for 100% tile is in rentals because it's harder to damage, and near the ocean because of sand. While some homes may have a lot of ceramic in them, most will still opt for carpet or wood also. Especially in bedrooms and the living room. Being a full time tile guy; I would have ceramic in the wet areas, and hardwood everywhere else.

I agree about the wet areas.
