Hi forum members,

Tomorrow I'll be installing a hardwood floor. Although I am experienced laminate installer, I have question concerning how or better yet where to start a room.

do you start at the end of the room and work your way back to the door or where exactly?

Also do you think nail down is better method than glued down or stapler. My client property is in Florida.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

There are to many variables to help you the way you have asked we will need more info. Is it one room or will the hardwood be carried into other rooms? What is the subfloor? Concrete, wood? If wood what direction do the joists run in? Is the flooring solid hardwood or egineered. Give a little more info and we may be able to help.
