 Post subject: How stable is engineered hickory or maple or chestnut?

If a wood is lower than average regarding stability, such as maple or hickory or chestnut, would that wood be a viable option in an engineered product? Would it be likely to cup, etc? Is it not an issue because its engineered?

Any engineered will be more stable than any solid. It has to do with the construction process.
