Here is my problem.
I had new hardwood floors installed two years ago. red oak strip, with oil based poly. It has 3 coats total.
On three bedrooms, I used coasters on the bed frame legs, so as to not damage the floors.
Well, I had to remove the beds(moving), and I have four stains on each bedroom. I don't know what caused them..the coaster or rust from legs.. but i idn't see rust.. Below are two pics: 1) of the coasters used. It looks like the bottom of the coaster is either rubber or plastic or a combo. 2) a smple pic of one of teh stains. If I did it right..
So far, I have used Bona Kemi cleaner, and some kitchen liquid soap, and wiped it with a slight damp cloth to no avail.
So, my questions are:
-Is there a good cleaner available to help remove the stain ?
-If the cleaners don't work, is buffing(like the pros used to give it last coat of poly--sanding lightly & then apply last coat) it and giving it another coat of poly the best option? Can this be done on the spots only, or would I have to do the entire floor ?
Thanks for your input. It is greatly appreciated.
