This is my first time installing a wood floor over concrete (or any floor for that matter) I read everything I could before the installation, and I know I read several times "clean up as you go!" I thought I was cleaning up as I went along. After the 500sq ft was installed, the next day I pulled up the rosin paper that was protecting the floor, to reveal hundreds of what looked little scuff marks everywhere. Is there any way to remove this now that its dried?
I tried Mineral Spirits with no success. Thanks in advance for some help.
Jeff

No. Pretty much have a floor the way it looks right now. Urethane transfers into the urethane finishes... Sorry.

I have been successful the very next morning, as I pull tape, wiping down(spot scrubbing) the spots I missed during the previous days installation.

They need a bright colored dye in the adhesive, like Manningtons Lime Green adhesive. So you can see it on surfaces. Bostiks and others are brown and hard to see on the brown wood surface. Only in the glare of the light can you see it.

What Perry said. I had a glue down last week using Bruce Equalizer Urethane and it is almost impossible to remove all the little spots on the first go around.

You cant see them all because of the lighting. Even using their M620 adhesive remover was not very effective so I switched to the Bostik's Wipes and that took them up. I can't tell you why but it did. And some of that was after 3 days.

Just about anybody selling Bostics should have them. They are very handy.

We recently had 3 rooms of engineered wood installed. First two rooms were great, but the installer decided to quickly finish the 3rd room so that he could turn a 2-day job into only 1-day. Got sloppy with glue (Mapei 980) and failed to wipe-as-you-go. I tried using mineral spirits the next day, with very limited success. Then tried goo-gone on day 2, and did a little better. Three days later, we were still seeing many glue spots depending on lighting. I called the installer and complained ... loudly. He said to use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, which made me VERY nervous. I bought the product, used it gently, and to my surprise and delight ... it worked! I know no manufacturer would ever make such a recommendation, but if you're desperate as I was ...
