I'm laying floating floor all across my condo... I've finished the living & dining areas and the first & last rows aren't perfectly parallel to the walls...

There is a 5/8 " gap difference along an 11' wall & 1/2" along a 3' door opening...

I'm a little bit anal and would like perfectly parallel rows given that the walls are 'perfect'

What precision is considered normal?

Thanks

I am curious as to why you are not parallel on at least one of the walls. Where did you start the installation?

this may help u better... i started on the right wall of the living room but that got out of whack for 2 reasons:
1. removed spacers prematurely
2. started solarium in the middle

Take a tape measure and measure from wall to wall. Your room my be wider at one end compared to the other. I had one that was 3½ out of whack. The framers flat missed the side of the mark to build the wall.
