I have some floors upstairs to do to finish up my installation. I have a Bostitch MIII stapler which was recomended by my floor manufacture. They do not specify how many nails each plank gets. I guessing one about every 12 inches. What do you guys think?

Thanks,

--David

Standard is every 8" & 4" from the ends.

Ya 8 - 10 inches, but I prefer a bit closer to the end joints, 2 1/2 to 3 inches; but I use cleats though which have less tendency to split the tongues. Perhaps 4 inches is better with staples, as Floorologist states.

Yea, I usually try to stay at around 2" or so from the ends....most of the stuff I see (Bruce, Harris, Mullican, Mirage) says 2-3".
