We are starting the process to get bids for our new house and wondered what would be a good figure for installing Mirage engineered floors. The 1st floor would entail glue down over concrete (removal of carpeting and a small tile entryway). The second floor would be nail down of the same Mirage flooring and carpet removal.

This would be in the Sacramento area and would be an approximately 2400 sq. ft. job.

I would estimate.
Demo and disposal...................$750.00 approx
Floor prep @ $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
Install glue down @ $4.50 to $6.00 per sq.ft. (including adhesive)
Install nail down @ $4.00 to $5.00 per sq.ft.

These are just BALLPARK figures. You may find someone to do the work for less.
