Hello, Would you like to run the flooring in the same direction as your existing floor? . . . I'm going to assume this is why you're concerned with wood movement. My suggestion would be . . . .rim the room with 1/2" x 3" plywood, if your pleased with the perimeter elevation. Then, use a chalk line perpendicular to your existing flooring . . . .hook it to your plywood
strips. Use a 2 x 4 on edge beside the chalk line . . . . .snap your line. Repeat this every 12" across the floor. (THESE ARE YOUR SCRIBED SLEEPERS). . . . . and you have a level plain to install your
new flooring on. Just a few spot of urethane adhesive & a few finish nails will hold these in place. dan @ pro
OOps . . .hope you're using 3/4" solid flooring over these sleepers on 12" centers?
