Hi Everyone,
I am enquiring about quarter rounds and reducer strips installations. I have a floating uniclic floor

When I am installing quarter rounds around my baseboard heaters which are metal, how and what do I attach the quarter rounds to?
1) Do I nail the quarter rounds to the hardwood flooring (won't this cause expamsion problems?)
2) Adhesive the rounds to the metal heater (to let the floor float below)?

I was unable to attach a couple pics to this posting.

Thanks,
ken.

You dont want to secure any mouldings to the hardwood.
This will "lock in" the floor, and compromise the required expansion.

Difficult to tell WHERE to install the quarter round at the baseboard heaters without a picture. Sometimes there's no clearance to attach to the wall, sometimes there is. Hard to picture how that will look attached to your heater. But if that's the only way  , I would use PL adhesive to secure the moulding to metal.
(Available at big box stores, in cartridge tubes.

As Floorologist says, you cannot attach anything to the floor. If trims are needed around the heaters, then you will have to glue them in place.
