Their is a couple options. First, you can get an engineered hardwood and either float it over the concrete with an underlayment under the floor. You could also glue down engineered to the concrete. This will fel more solid to walk on than floating. However, if you want to go this route you will first want to make sure the moisture level in the concrete is acceptable to install directly onto it. The final way to install on concrete is to attach some 3/4" plywood to the concrete and then nail down the flooring to the plywood. This way will allow you to use real solid hardwood.
