hi:
to avoid off-gassing and in an attempt to be a little more environmentally conscious, we decided to use real cork as the underlayment for our new floating wood floor. the cork supplier indicated we should use a 6 mil moisture barrier on the concrete slab, then the cork, then the floating floor.
we are trying to determine how to do this. should the moisture barrier be glued down to the slab? i thought not, but then the cork sort of slips around on top of that (we have tried sheets that come in 2' x 3' sizes AND rolls). should we glue the cork to the loose moisture barrier? is our floor going to slip if it is floated on non-glued moisture barrier and underlayment?
thank you!!!
