Just wanted to know how busy you guys are.
I have moved to Hawaii 4 years ago, business has been super slow.
I understand this is a small island where I live and the market is limited but still.

How is it for you?
Thank you
Rafal

Business is going very well for us. We actually relocated to Minnesota from California about 4 years ago strictly to do wood floors. I have a facebook friend that does wood floors in Hawaii and he is posting unbelievable pictures almost daily, so I think their is definitely plenty of work there. It's all about marketing yourself right. Their is a good 100 businesses in my area doing wood floors that would claim the economy is bad, or work is slow. However, our phone rings off the hook all day 6 days a week. Get the right marketing and you will keep busy in almost any area. My advice would be to get a website if you don't have one and explore online marketing.

I'm busy all the time but I am at this point a one man company so I only need two jobs per week to remain busy . IN regards to marketing, you have to choose to be the guy that gets it done fast and cheap or the guy that does premium work and takes his time.

There's plenty of work out there but there's far too many start up companies and they are the ones that are really feeling the crunch.

It's up and down like a morning woody...we stay busy, but we peak..then die out some..then get going again..it can be very inconsistent sometimes.

the last 5 years have been a wild ride but it is getting better...

Sometimes we book out for 3 or 4 weeks, but then work right through the schedule with nothing new coming in..

Marketing and websites only do so much..Competition and markets play an important role in this..
