The scratch must not be into the actual hardwood by your description if it simply washes away. Really hard to answer without seeing it. I also see some unpleasant reviews on the product and a video that some point to some kind of magic being performed. In other words, too good to be true.
One idea is using a q-tip with same sheen finish and applying lightly. Or if it's severe, replaced boards. Then a final solution is just throw a rug over it, but you probably didn't want to hear that.
