First I would like to thank all for answering my other questions on here. I have another one in regards to how the temp will effect the oil base poly we will be using. We live in Indiana and the temp it in the 40's to 50's right now. Of course we do not have the heat on because we do not want to move any dust around when putting on the poly. Will the temp cause it not to set up as good or will it take longer.

It's going to be thicker and won't flow as well at low temps.....can you use portable radiant heaters to maintain the temperature without creating a lot of air movement?

You do want to have your furnace and the heat on when applying the finish. Set the furnace to 65 to 68 degrees. It won't cycle on as often. But most importantly, clean all your surfaces very well. Walls, sills, doors, cabinets, etc. Change the filters on your HVAC system. Run the system for a little while prior to coating the floors to "air it out", especially the ducting. If it blows too hard, consider restricting the outflow by putting filters in the HVAC vent openings. If you eliminate the dust in the home, the little air movement will not stir it up. But having the temp low and no air movement is a recipe for difficulty.
