I want to provide a gap--penny thick--every 7-10 rows. After stapling 4-5 rows, I removed the pennies and continued stapling. The gap closed up. How do I keep the gap? I am providing an extra gap because this is winter installation.

Thanks in advance.

weed eater line. Leave some long on one end and when you are through just pull it out.

The plank doesn't crimp the line, and break when you try to pull it out ?

lay it on top of the tongue and work your pieces to it and you shouldnt have any problems. You have to work with it a little to feed it along as you butt your pieces together but it will work.
