Dont know how many of you guys use Hoboken as your main distributor but they are by far the biggest on the east coast..$100 million in debt and filed chapter 7 bankruptcy..employees showed up for work last week and where told they had no jobs!...leaves a big hole

Yes i know, they also took WFI down with them. By filing chapter 7 it's going to affect a whole lot of companies. I feel real bad for the employees.

There is a scramble by manufacturers, to find distributors to fill the void. WFI must have been an "eggs all in one basket" distributation, for it to take them out, with Hoboken, holding all there cash.

HUH? Did WFI allow that distributor to run up such a high balance that it would put WFI out of biz? If this is the case, someone at WFI has s**t for brains.

Ken, why would you feel this way? Aren't you a WFI seller? Won't this effect your ability to sell WFI?

I can't see how a major distributor going bankrupt is good for anyone, except their immediate distribution competition. Remember, businesses just pass on the cost of doing business to the customers. They have to.

I don't have the NWFA newsletter in front of me... but that is pretty much what happened from what I read.

Yes, but honestly it didn't sell well except fror the Caribean Rosewood, Walnut and BC.

I'd rather not get into it. Only looking to the future. I'm just glad others now have the opportunity to sell products Hoboken sold. We had a real bumpy two weeks on orders we paid for but were never delivered. Had to scramble trying to satisfy customers.

Well, that's a different story. I can understand why someone would be peeved.
