I have Engineering dark brown wood floor in my living room install 3 years ago. No varnish on it. Very nice !! But last saturday night somebody with high heels dance on the floor all night. OH MY GOD what a damage !! What should I do. These holes are all over the floor. I would like to have something like a filler or wax that can go on the floor before sanding everything. Can someone help me with this one. if you could only see my floor. What a waste. Thanks again. Dominique

if its eng floor there may not be able to sand the indentions outwithout sanding thru the wear layer, depends on the product. sorry looks like you may have a naturally distressed floor now.

My professor told me that women's high hills do more damages to the concrete slab than truck because person's weight is much less than truck weight but it is concentrated over a very small area.

I'm not sure if there is anything that can be done to repair it.

I remember seeing "wet towel and iron trick" to raise dimples from a wood and then sanding it---you may try googling it more more information.

IF, and that's a big IF, the top wear layer of veneer is thick enough, the dents can be sanded out. If the veneer is one that is 1/16", you're outa luck. The floor will need to be replaced. Or live with the dents.

I have found that the wet towell trick is limited. Especially when a dent is sharply rounded at the edges, or the dent is deep.
