I am thinking of having either the Columbia Out of Africa Pearwood or Cedar installed at my home in Denver, CO. Can any one please let me know the compatibility of these species with the dry weather here in colorado. Thanks.

Since they can be obtained in either solid or engineered, I would prefer the engineered for less seasonal movement. European Pearwood is commonly used for musical instruments but the African counterpart, Moabi, is different. Since it comes with a good warranty, I do not think one would have a problem if installed per manufacterer's instructions.

Same can be said for the African Cedar/Bosse. Both are quite hard. Stability is always a concern with solids so it it is wise to cosider the engineered.
