I came home after a weekend trip to find the top glass shelf of my entertainment system shattered. The tv dropped on top of the stereo receiver and glass damaged the floor. When I contacted the company that made the stand they gave me the option, self installed floor, to repair or have a contractor repair the floor. The area is approx. 6"x6", this will require two boxes of flooring at a cost of $160.00.

What would you charge to repair the floor, parts and labor included? I am considering making the repair myself but I need a price to give to the company.

ditto on calling the local installers. Remove and replace 36 sqft, prefinished? Thats almost a fully days work for 2 guys, from start to finish. Best guess on what it would cost, take your daily salary times 2 and add 40% to it (for tool maitiance/vehicle maitiance/insurance etc etc.)

You cannot upload to this site from your computer. To post a picture, you must first "publish it" / post it to a website, such as flicker.com. There are other free sites. Then, when posting a question or response here, click on the IMG tag above in the HTML code bar. After that, paste the link to the picture's web address then click on the IMG tag again. I've found that only jpeg images work. Hope I explained OK.
