If the floor had/has a finish on it already, that will retard the drying time considerably. Basically, it could take MONTHS to properly dry out. I just have had to deal with a similar issue on a job I was to do. Washer flooded the oak floors and they cupped badly. Builder wanted to resand but when I explained that sanding a wet cupped floor would result in a floor with gaps and a convex shape down the road, he agreed to replace the wood. Not only that, but Buddy in LA has been telling us how long it takes for plywood to dry out completely. Up to a year! And don't forget about the mold issue as well. IMO, I'd accept nothing less than replacement of the water-damaged flooring.
