First coat I used a roller never again, so this time I used a lambs wool and it was working find until glancing across the room and seeing what appeared to be dry spots.....So should I put 2 more coats on or 1 heavier coat making sure I cover everything....

Thanks in advance

Two coats at 500 ft. per gallon. That's what you should do, after properly "prepping" the surface.
