Hello,

We want to buy a house with oak hardwood floor. The floor was installed 1 year ago and after that nobody lived there. I noticed little tiny holes in many boards. Some boards have more than one hundreds tiny holes in it. The agent tell us the holes are wormholes and it is original and normal. As I think, if one board has several tiny holes, it is normal. However, these boards have more than 100 holes each and nearly 10 percent boards is in this situation. If this is still normal or means they are very low end floor? Could it be recently infested? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

those are wormholes and nothing to worry about really. It is a lower grade floor looks like a #2common red oak from the pics. No worries about infestation its just low end oak flooring.
