Subject pretty much says it. I am into a flooring project in Kansas City area and I don't have the time to mail order anything. Do Lowe's or HD carry any water based products that can be used on a floor?

I plan to seal with a de-waxed shellac product, then top coat with 3 coats of water based poly. This is over a new, quartersawn red oak floor.

I have 7 days before my family returns (I sacrificed Summer vacation to do the floors) and now I am behind.

I am no stranger to floors or finishes, including water based polys. I have used the shellac sealer before under water based poly in furniture to very nice effect -- looks like oil, but easier, quicker, less fumes.

I'd rather avoid the oil based route, and I have not located a local source for decent water based products.

Help.......

HD should carry Park's waterbased poly and perhaps Flecto Diamond finish. Both can be used on floors but do not use a crosslinker to harden so they are not quite as tough as crosslinked waterbornes. Don't know what Lowe's carries.
