Can someone help me identify this hardwood flooring please? The planks are 5 in wide by roughly 12 ft long. My husband and I are renovating a farmhouse built in 1905, and this is upstairs, some rooms had paint over this and others had what I can only call linoleum type "mats" laid down but not glued or nailed. But there doesn't seem to be any stain or varnish underneath the paint. The downstairs has finished hardwood flooring that was under 60 year old carpet, which we removed, but the planks are only 3 in wide. So I don't know if they are the same species of wood.

They are probably the same species. Where are you located. If you are in the Northwest I would guess Douglas fir. If you are located in the Southeast I would guess pine.

We are located in Wisconsin.

Most probably Douglas fir.
