My contractor didn't mix Bona Traffic HD with the hardener and just applied the Part A to the wood floor. Can someone please advise me on what to do?
Here is a little more detail... I have old wide plank pine floors (circa 1860s). The sales guy told me to have the contractor apply one coat of AmberSeal, one coat of Bona Mega One, and two coats of Bona Traffic HD. The contractor sanded the floors, then applied one coat of Bona AmberSeal. The next day, he applied one coat of Bona Mega One (satin finish). Everything looked great at this stage. The following day, he applied one coat of Bona Traffic HD (satin finish) without mixing it with the accompanying hardener. Failing to mix it with the hardener seems like a BIG mistake.
What should he do to fix it?
Can the contractor give the floors a heavy buffing and then just redo the step of applying the Bona Traffic HD--properly mixing it with the hardener this time? Or do we need to do a heavy buffing and restart with the staining?
