Hello everyone! I'm so glad I found this place - I've already been reading some very interesting topics!
Here's my issue...
We put in engineered polyurethane-coated hardwoods about 9 months ago. I love them, however, we have dull scuff marks (not black marks, just dull scuffed looking streaks - not scratches) everywhere!! It is maddening trying to figure out how to remove them. I've tried Magic Eraser, a regular eraser, a tennis ball stuck on the end of a broom stick, Polycare Scuff Remover (all it did was take the finish off the floor around the scuff mark!!), regular floor cleaner, etc. I just don't know what else to do. We have 3 active kids and I'm sure the marks are from their tennis shoes. I've recently read about trying mineral spirits or just spot touching up with a coat of polyurethane. Does anyone know how in the world to get rid of these marks???
Thank you anyone who can help!!
Toni
