I wanted to picture frame my tile in front of the fireplace.

Just curious on what width to use for this picture frame?

Do you normally use full width boards or cut them down in width?

Also, I wanted to use a header board at my transition into my tile bathroom because the hardwood will run perpindicular to the doorway opening.

What width do you normally use for these headers?

Full width or cut down maybe in half?
