FedEx delivered a gallon today.

On the back label just below the UPC bar code, it says “05/09”. Considering that Bona states a one year shelf life, have I been sold expired product?

I decided to try Bona tech support.

They live up to their reputation. No phone menus, a live person answered the phone and directed my call to tech support. No time on hold.

Turns out, “05/09” was the last revision date of the label. The manufacturing date of the product is the first four digits of the stamped code on the plastic (not the label).

In my case it was “1021WT15431600558”. As mentioned, only the first four digits matter for date info.
The “1021” means 21st week of 2010, so I have nice fresh product.

you will have to call Bona customer svc, i cant remember teh order but in Europe the dates are mixed up from what we use here. Or call the place you bought it from they should be able to tell you.
