Hey guys,
I have a customer with self installed pine floors that he wants sanded and finished. He wants me to use a product called OS Hardwax Oil. Supposed to be a safe product from Germany and you only apply one coat. I tried like hell to talk him out of it, but he's pretty adament about using it. Can't find dry times on the internet and it will take a few weeks for him to get the product. Any one who has used or even heard of this stuff, PLEASE speak up. Man..try to teach an old dog new tricks.

Danny,
I used Waterlox on a 4000 sq.ft. antique heart pine floor from Carlisle. It was so easy to use and worked great. Check out comments from Floormasters message board http://www.floormasters.com/wwwboard/me ... 24100.html

Never heard of the other stuff.

Gary,
I've used Waterlox many times but this stuff is different. Supposed to have Carnuba wax and Flax wax etc. etc. Sounds a little like the old DuraFinish we used to use in the 70's and early 80's. Oh well. Still trolling for info on this stuff.

Danny, Found It! It was pretty easy. I did a google search and it was at the top of the list. Here it is.

I'm also looking for someone who's used this.

like the ability to repair w/o having to resand the floor. sounds like it's supposed to be as strong as urethane and green to boot.

anyone know anything about this stuff?
