I've seen small areas succeed, but not larger areas. Too much movement for wood flooring.

Float an engineered, that can be installed as a floating installation.

Not all engineereds can be installed as a floater.

I've seen 5/16" fingerblock parquet used in travel trailers and motor homes so I suppose that could be done. Inexpensive if you use the prefinished kind. I've never done it myself.

Thanks for all the input, this a a very responsive forum. I'm leaning toward vinyl throughout the coach, its older and I have a small dog, I would love the rich look wood would give it, but I guess I need to be practical.

Thanks

There are some nice "plank" solid vinyls on the market. You have to get down on your hands and knees to tell it is not real wood.

AMTICO, NAFCO, Congoleum along with several others, produce it.
