This is a cheap Hatco Engineered We are talking budget floor here.

This is the first staple down I had done in about 2 years. It wore me out.

First, I had to move this bad boy...

Had to move a piano? OMG.

Those budget floors can be a bugger--good thing it wasn't a gluedown. You know, the boards that literally spring out of the box

Nice job Perry! But why undercut a raised marble floor? I think I would have used a reducer trim from the marble to the wood. Do you charge to move pianos? When I run across items like this, I tell homeowners Bekins doesn't lay floors and I don't move furniture. Too much liability! If owners insist on me arranging to move furniture, I tell them I'm hiring a moving company, adding 25% to the bill and then billing the homeowners. That's when they get their underage sons or friends from across the street to help move the furniture.

I charged her $800 to move the piano. That included retuning, once it was set back up. The piano moving company charged me $350, with tuning. 8)
