Had H-T American collection installed 18 months ago, floated on a slab, looks and performs great. Ordered and installed more for a hallway last week, the material is different and not as good in finish and fit as the last. Am working with the supplier to replace.

Q. Has anyone noticed a difference in the H-T product lately? This is beyond the slight variation one would expect in seperate lots, it is really different in fit and finish. It looks like H-T has changed the manufacturing process.

Q. Also, a general question on gluing. The tounge and groove top layer fits together OK but I notice small voids between the layer below and between the t &g as well. Is the advisable technique to fill these voids with glue during install, as well as the finish layer?

Thanks, TRS.

Sounds like the junk coming from China, that everyone else has seemed to be making, now.

Well, almost everyone.

The last time I layed HT Longstrip, it did not go together very well at all. I'd say their quality has slipped. Used to be a good product. Now, I won't recommend it.
