I moved into a new house recently and the previous homeowner installed prefinished hardwood floors, red oak I think. When they laid the floor they didn't stagger the joints! I have lines running the length of the room where the joints are. Apparently they glued the hardwood to the wood subfloor and in several places the adhesive failed and is raising up and pops if you step on it.
My question is this: Is there any way I can pull up the floor and re-lay it properly or am I stuck just fixing the pops and squeaks?
Thanks
Josh

You are refering to the end joints (butts) correct? Can't remove a glued down floor to reuse it! In fact, if it's glued to your subfloor, trying to take it out will probably damage some of the subfloor. Sounds like you have a real mess on your hands. Call a local pro flooring installer to come out and advise you. Or post some pics and we'll tell you what we can.
