Hey guys,
I am considering purchasing this particular engineered flooring from Lum Liquidators: Virginia Mill Works 1/2" x 5" Tobacco Road Handscraped Clear Finish Natural. I'm a novice but I liked the look was wondering if anyone knew anything about this company and its products. also any warnings or recc's I shud be aware of.

I have installed some of this stuff before and is not too bad. Their is better stuff out their but their is also much worse. Also, if your budget allows 3/4" wood is always better, because it can be refinished more times in the future.

great question, first off when it comes to any prefinish flooring, lam. or eng. you get what you pay for. milling, finish, average lenghts of pieces. when someone gets into a eng. products they normanly do so for stability reasons, humidity or for glue downs(concrete slab). i have installed some eng. flooring that has a 3/8 wood veneer. that does give the owner more sanding options. when dealing with any prefinsh products i have found there are three things that will make or break a good looking floor, and one and two on a precentage are close, one the product, the floor, the installer.

We were also told that when we were putting our new hard wood floors in to use 3/4" wood. The guy who helped us out said that very same thing about being able to stain and treat later on and even though your spending more money right away, its definitely worth it in the long run.
