My husband and I are DIY homeowners. We have removed about 1/2 of the ceramic tile in our FL home. We are looking into hardwood flooring but aren't sure what to buy; solid vs. engineered, brand, etc. We have a concrete slab with some cracks. We haven't tested for moisture yet. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Which brand do you recommend? Anyone recommend Lumber Liquidators?

Your question should have been posted under the "general" section but it's OK. If you do a "search" in the message board forums, you'll find lots of discussion about LL. Most of the talks have not been favorable. Post further questions under the general topic section as this section is for contractors.

an engenineered would be the way to go imo, and probably owens, unless someone else has had better experiences in the past with a better product
