Any thoughts on installing hardwoods in a bathroom? It's a 3x6 bathroom w/ only a toilet and sink, so not all the water splash associated w/ a tub. My concern is w/ the normal bathroom woes that can happen (toilet overflow, pipe breaking, etc) Do people generally install hardwoods in a bath or is it just an all around bad idea?

Thanks,
Jeff

I do powder rooms/1/2 baths in wood all the time. Got one in my house. No problems!

I agree with Gary ... Still paranoid?????? toss an extra coat of finish on her and don't let any puddles stand overnight.....

hope that helps,

In order to achieve what the competition cannot grasp, we must complete what they will not attempt. Nobody ever said it would be easy, but it's darn sure worth it.

If you were my customer, I'd have to warn you that it could be a bad idea. Truth is that lots of baths have wood without any problems, but not all. Some get ugly fast, and I need to warn you cause I'm not footing the bill.
You need to know yourselves and those who'll be using it. If you are a careful lot, go ahead. If you are pigs, don't. Make sure you aren't lying to yourself though.

You describe what I call a "Powder Room" not a bathroom & we install wood in them all the time without problems as long as you use 'common sense'

Art :D
