We were on a job the other day (outside) and the vac was laying next to the van, I glance up at the vac and it looked like the wind kicked up a notch and was blowing the dust off the vac, Only it didn't stop. Their was a constant smoke coming from the vac. So I rush over take off the top and the dust bag is toast. Bottom all burnt, liner and filter burnt.
What a smell coming off of that. The vac was used about an hour and a half before for a last coat maybe 800', buffed with a 180 screen. New bags are always put in before last coats. I'm just glad I wasn't home for the night. Haven't tryed the vac since the smell is just to bad.

i'm always careful with my dust bags or vacumns...once I woke up in the middle of the night, and remembered that I hadn't emptied my edger bag, and left it in the house. I got up and drove up there to take care of it. A freind of mine had his van, in the garage of his home, when he had some rags go off, of a dust bag, can't remember which. His van, tools, and a chunk of his home went up. It's no joke, as you now know.
