I'm bidding on a gym floor for the first time. I was wondering if theres any one out there can give me idea on pricing sqft. It's complete job flooring, installation, sanding and finishing with bona gym finish and putting the lines and graphics down. I just need idea what to charge. I get some that say you have to bid real low and some to tell me bid higher then homeowner work. If someone out there can give me a round area sqft to start with on labor. maple flooring is whatever i can get it for at my supplier thank you

Here they are doing them over concrete for:
Floor prep is never part of the bid... never! But there is a butt load of prep.
Moisture barrier and asphalt felt. Double layers of ¾ Subfloor with rubber cleats installed .75¢ a ft. Labor
Nail down 1¼ or 2¼ Maple $1.10 sq.ft. Labor
Sand .90¢ sq.ft. Labor and paper
Lay down and paint lines can vary, but it comes out to about $500, without anything custom. Labor
Apply Gym Floor Finish .45¢ sq.ft. Labor

So, about $3.10-$3.50 sq.ft. without painting the lines.
Floating Subfloor
Install wood
Sand, paint lines and finish

They throw about 15-20 tourist in there from south of the border and knock it out.
