 Post subject: Gouge in Oak Flooring

Somehow there is a nice gouge, at least 1/4" deep and 1/2" long in our oak floor. Do they make a product that I can use to fill this in and then cover it over to match the color?

They make some wax repair kits that may help mask it, usually at a hardware store or lumberyard.

I got something that worked, thanks guys - the wax crayon type filler, worked a treat.
