 Post subject: Good repair for small gouge in wood??

The carpet layers have left 3 small gouges in a prefinished floor. It was Bruce Gunstock color. Sort of like Minwax Early American, a medium color. One of them is on the bull nose edge on the stairs. What would be a good repair material that I could use or then stain to color and clearcoat? Thank You. doug

Home depo carries hardwood putty .. we use it to fill in face nails .. take a piece of the wood with you to match the color .. I believe the gunstock color is from the Dundee board , So the nose is not the expensive .. you culd have them replace the boards if you are not happy ..
