Hey all. We're finally getting down to what we want.

Seattle area
Not near the water, on a plateau.
Woodstove and central air.
House always kept between 66-80 deg (not sure about house humidiy. Contractor will measure)
Hardwoods will not be laid down near kitchen or bath
Plywood sub floor

We're looking for Maple, Walnut, Acacia or Hickory in a prefinished darker color(java, coffee, tea shade) 3/4 x5"
We've already accepted that it's going to cost more but it doesn't need to be exotic. Our house is small and cozy with earth tone paint on the walls.

We're looking for a proven, made in the US or Canada product with good reviews that stand by their warranty. Thanks!

We just found Shamrock engineered Pub Series Hickory Stout and love it. 1/8" sawn wear layer. 9 ply, 5" wide x 5/8" thick. Anyone have exp with Shamrock? http://www.shamrockplankflooring.com/pr ... bhouse.php
