Just a question about gluing. I i will be using Henkel PL Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive that i have read about on here. I just have a question about how you guys apply it. do you run it down the grooves on the board or squiggle it on?

Also when i top nail the first row AustinFloorguy told me to use 1ΒΌ" nails... any special type or gauge i should be looking for?

Use the wiggly bead. About a 1/4" bead is right. I prefer 15 gauge finish nails, but only for unfinished flooring and 3/4" thick. If it's prefinished flooring, a smaller headed brad will work because the glue is doing all the holding. And a brad leaves a much smaller hole to fill.

Squiggly line, making sure its starts ACROSS the end, and finishes ACROSS the other end to ensure maximum holding on the end joints.
If you are expecting to have the glue do ALL the holding, you could actually use 23 gauge headless pins for near invisibility, but you wouldnt want to do any more than your starter rows the first day. Otherwise, use 16 gauge, and find some matching filler.
