Which one is best? To glue the hardwood down or nail it down.

I know that if i glue i must use 3/8 thick hardwood. I don't know if i can nail this thin piece down or not. Can i nail something that thin?

I hear that I will get tired of the glue and that it is very messy and troublesome.

Is nailing hardwood to the floor difficult?

Which do you prefer? I don't have any of the materials yet. Is there any disadvantage to having thin pieces of hardwood rather than the thicker pieces?

I also heard that oak is cheaper than pine.

What is the substrate made of?
Concrete, or wood

If you live on a crawlspace, most people will advise to nail it down. Glue down is mostly for concrete slab houses.

I wouldn't use glue unless I absolutely had to, as it's messier and much more time consuming.

3/4" solid hardwood is the standard for most applications where you can nail it down to a plywood subfloor.
