Can PLEASE anyone expain me the advantage and disadvantage of Glue down Installation VS Floating installation ?

Which one is BEST?

what will work best is job specific. Generaly if it can be safely mechanically fastened to the substrate thats the way I go.

Staple/ Nail down is best, Then glue and finally floating. Floating is easiest.
