Hello,

Im getting ready to do 1600 sq. ft of gluedown hardwood flooring. I have been installing floor tile for years so I think i should have no problem with laying it sqare but i could use any suggestions that anyone could offer me to make the install as easy as possible.
Floor is pretty flat, already put down a epoxy water barrier, am using the recommened glue for the wood im using.

Thanks,

Hi Ron, fellas I invited Ron over here for advice. He is a tileman over at John Bridges place. I don't get much glue down where I live but some of these guys thats all they do.

They need more info like ..... is this an engineered floor? Whats the brand, thickness and board width, ect.

Is it concrete or plywood you are going over?

What glue was recommended to you, some you can walk in, others need to be rolled.

Is the flooring inside right now getting adjusted? Any idea what the Relative humidity range is in your house right now and year round?

Anything you can explain will help them alot on how to advise you.

have a great day

3M blue tape to keep things tight. Keep a rag hand with mineral spirits to wipe smudges and your fingers or anything you get glue on.

Sounds like you have moisture issues taken care of.

The starting row, on your line. Don't start at a wall and work out, start on your line and work back to the wall, and then turn around and go the other way across the room.
