Can anyone tell me what the specific advantage/ disadvantage of glue-down vs. floating engineered floors are? I live in northern california and am installing (or rather getting installed) a 5" wide pre-finished engineered floor over freshly laid self-leveling cement. Would like to understand what the pros and cons of both options might be. Thanks in advance for any insight here.
