 Post subject: gap in flooring

hello all, need help with problem with my Bruce oak flooring. during remodle, removed wall to expand room and try to match up existing flooring. need to fill gap between butt ends of floor boards. carpet seam strip not practicle,threshold strip will cause trip and fall problems.any help??? thanks in advance

Yea, that's what I would think. Just kinda threw me for a loop when jedog4 started talking about "carpet seam strip", "threshold strip" ? :? The terminology scrambled my brain! I was like what the____? I need a picture! :mrgreen:
