Hey all,
Well since someone mentioned the fein I went out and got me one, it was well worth the price but the dang blades are freakin expensive! Anyways about 2 weeks ago I found the Dremel Multitool which is just a copy of the fein at HomeDepot. Well I used it to cut in about 8 vents in an existing floor and it did a great job, and best of all the blades only run about $10.00ea! So in all I love my fein but the dremel just took its place, lol. So if your in the market for a fein and cant afford it then look into the Dremels version and best of all, the blades can be used on the fein too!So double savings!

Let me know what you guys think.

Laters,
Mike

Dude, I just found out Harbor Freight had a Multitool knock off, on sale for $40. That thing has already bought itself, plus 100 more.

I used it to buzz off an old 4x4 post, I couldn't possibly get any other saw I had in there, when I built the new wood privacy fence, in the backyard. Blades are $6, and you get 2 free scraper blade attachments, with each blade.

I bought that one but haven't used it yet. The saw blade is ok? I need to undercut some molding installed on a door jamb so I can get a threshold like thing in place. How's it work for that?

I have not tried it to undercut anything yet. I use my Crain 820 for that. What I have been using it for, is where the stair skirting up the sides are in the way of the stair nose. Especially where the landing at the top turns and it over looks the staircase coming up, with pickets all in the way.

Use my Harbor Multi-tool all the time. It can fit to the Bosch or Dremel blades as well. Although the Harbor blades are pretty cheap and don't last long.

I used the HF multi for under cutting some trim to slide some thresholds under. It worked just "Fein" Seems well made for $40.00 I can see the blades will need replacing. That's obvious. I think it has been well worth the little expense.
